So, if eggs, which are way, way out on their own at the top of the list, are safe to eat because their cholesterol doesn't affect the body's serum cholesterol, then how on earth is it different from the much tinier amounts in any of the other foods? Is it 'the wrong sort of cholestero', like British Rail's 'wrong sort of snow'?

And does anyone seriously expect us to believe that large cheeseburgers, or sweetened condensed milk, is better for us than eggs or chicken?

Methinks the writing is on the wall for the 'Cholesterol is Evil' lobby; that can't come too soon for the health of the Western world.

  1. Couldn't agree more, this whole cholesterol business is absolutely absurd. Reinstating the eggs may be the first step in the right direction - I am curious which formerly damned food will be put back on the "safe-to-eat"-list next? The nutritionists probably hope that if they wait long enough the public won't notice that they are actually revoking their former teachings.
